What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is a sophisticated biofeedback that supports significant positive changes in behavior associated with anxiety, depression, and other behavioral and physical disorders.  With the help of computers and advanced technology, sophisticated readings allow trained professionals to detect, amplify, and record biological signals.  It is simple and painless:  small sensory monitors are attached to the scalp and ears to measure internal biological processes.  Advanced technology allows the feedback to come in the form of interactive computer games.  With practice, patients can begin to change inside-the-body events to improve their physical and/or mental health.  This neurofeedback is used by patients to learn to self regulate, change unwanted behavioral patterns, and improve their physical and mental well being.  Neurofeedback is a gradual learning process that has been proven successful in improving a wide varitey of physical and mental health disorders.  Individuals of any age can benefit from this training.
